Hello luvs! I've been a busy bee this past few days, and also been recuperating from the flu/bug that bit me late last week.

So I went home last weekend and spent some time with the family and then went straight to work again.

I didn't have a date yesterday, but that's okay because I was at work anyway haha.

BUT, I had a very NICE surprise, because I won Sarah's (MS EGGPLANT'S CHRINICLES) Paisley Loafers Giveaway. Eeeep! So excited, hahaha. {Will blog about it later}

And today, I decided to make another blog : UNTIL THE END STARTS . It will house my outfit posts mainly. I wanted to keep this blog as my "crafting/thrifting" corner, and posting my outfits shots here confuses the category haha. So please, if you have some time, give love and visit me there too {wink}.

I got the blog title from Adelle's One and Only. I so love her and that song is my favorite.

I'll be taking pictures of my finds later so hopefully I can blog about them tomorrow, haha. I know I've been a lazy ass lately.=D

I have always believed that I am not much of a "mothering" type. Or that I would want to have kids some day. But becoming an aunt, five years ago, made me realize that I'd love having a kid, and would enjoy motherhood very much. When I just think of how much I love this precious boy,I ask myself how much more would I love my own child, right?

I thank God that I got to be the lucky "tita/Ninang" for Jed, and he has taught me a lot about love and simple joys like having some one tell you: Love kita Ninang Ann, I love you Ninang Ann, or Kiss kita, Ninang Ann. I tell you, there is nothing like the honest love and trust that you see reflected in their eyes. Children has the most honest minds, and only they can love you without mallice, no hesitation and fully.

I went home last Saturday for my nephew's birthday yesterday. Then went back to the office this morning. I think I was just there for 30 hours, including sleeping and travel time. But it was so worth it because I got to greet him a happy birthday,=D. Although his party is held today (w/c I didn't get to attend because I have SO MUCH work), we still bought a cake yesterday, for the customary singing of "Happy Birthday" and blowing the candles,=D.

I was also able to squeeze in a bit of thrifting, and I was able to snag a rad top (I'll post about it later). Just a funny side story though. Remember the JS Clogs I scored? Well, we went back to that same store and imagine my happiness when I saw a Ferragamo laced up boots like this one . I think it was for men's but my sister was telling me it looked good. So I picked up the left shoe and tried it on. Imagine my surprise when we saw the the left foot is not the same one! The saleslady kept on insisting that they didn't sell the mismatched pair of shoes, but when they looked for the right pair, it was nowhere to be found. =D So there, somewhere out there, some poor soul owns a mismatched pair of Ferragamo and a no-name pair of boots.

I have lots of finds from last week but have no photos to show you yet. I've been sick and then so busy with work and then got super sick again. Tomorrow I'll be going to the province for my nephew's 5th Bday on Sunday. I've drowned myself with medicines to feel better, lols.

TCC is also one of the oldest blogs I've been following. I just love her style, and her photos! One word I describe her, everytime I go visit her blog (which is more than twice a day, mind you) is ENCHANTING.

Oh wow, I must have been in nostalgia mode, because, incidentally, I featured three of the earliest blogs I've followed! LOL. Seriously, I love Karla. Who doesn't? she does justice to everything she wears. I drool.=D

On a side note, I'm loving these themed features that I've been doing, I think I'll do them regularly.

I usually buy basics at the mall, since I seldom find them in ukay. For tank tops, as example, I prefer them in cotton, in the most basic style I could get, no pockets, embellishments,slightly loose and has solid colors. This find from last week failed because of the pockets, but still I did not leave it there because the other catefgories had been met. It's a bit longer than I prefer, but it'll do.

Nivea Baby for your Precious Ones

I think last December, I received an email from the Nivea team about the Nivea Baby products, and if I would be interested to sample and review some. I told them I don't have a baby yet, but I do have a nephew, that has sensitive skin. Yesterday, the guard at our building informed me of a package, and these are what they sent me.=D

JED sends his thank you for the gifts, you're just in time because it's his birthday on the 12th.=D

He'll be FIVE soon. Can you believe it? No more a baby but still one in my eyes. Such a darling, albeit naughty (as expected with boys) at times, hyper and zestful and growing up to be a kind-hearted person, friendly and so malambing.

I was finally able to cross out one short from my list of "to thrift" -Lace,Knit and Leather-now I have to find me a knitted and a leather short. Although this one I got already has a knitted raffle accent, so maybe that's already crossed out? Haha.
On another note--It'll be February tomorrow! Wow. First Vday while the boyf is out of the country. Hmmm. Hahaha. Although even before, we're don't celebrate Vday that much. But still, am a lil sad. BUT I know that this is just a little thing, one of those things we agreed to handle and endure, for the future.

Remember the black trouser pants that I thrifted a while back? Well, I just found three of her sisters last Saturday. =D

See photo evidence below. Almost all are of the same style an size, and moreover, they came from the same store=D When Ifirst found the red one, I was thinking: Wow this looks like the black one I got last year. and Yey! Red! THEN I found the peach/pink one and I was like, whoah, same style? Lucky!

THEN when I saw the third one, WEIRD. Haha. Anyway, good weird, that is.

All were on 20% off, and the three pants were P496 in total.

Lo and behold, I have just discovered the editting capacities of Photobucket. Ack, I'm so clueless sometimes haha--and not tech savvy too,lols---.

Check out the Uniqlo jeans I thrifted early this year. I was a bit hesitant to get it because of the dropped crotch style but it turned out to be comfortable to wear on a casual day. =D

Topshop Moto Denim Jacket

January 2011 is when I was almost wrapping up my Thrift Year Challenge, and I think this was posted/featured there too. I got this jacket for P150.00, or less, I don't remember anymore, but it was such a nice find, especially when I saw it was still being sold at that time at the stores.

February

CDG T-shirt

This shirt was scored for P80.00 at a random thrift shop. It's a collaboration with another designer, and this shirts has been with me on my adventures in Baler, Bataan and even to Zambales! Talk about getting its maximum wear.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Knitted Cardigan

Red has never been my color, but I was not able to resist this one. This knit cardi has been a staple in my closet and will continue to do so.

Zara Blazer

This blazer was wedged between old dingy blazers, and what made it stand out to me were the ruched shoulder. It pays to have a sharp eye with this details, because, hey, look what I scored!

I've fallen in love at first sight with these platforms. The chunky heels, leather straps, and gold/metallic accent. I. LOVE.

Steve Madden Desert Boots

Thrifting back at home has its perks. No one notices a pair of Steve Madden boots laying around the store, and they kept on lowering it's price. Good thing I came at the right time before someone else with more sense snagged it!

D.Perkins DIYed Stars and Stripes Shorts

The DIY bug has bit me and this was one of my earlier projects. This came from athrifted Dorothy Perkins pants and with the help of some paints, tada!

Topshop Ashton Boots

It was July when I also scored these Topshop booties for P100.00.

I had long ago removed the chains and using them whenever I have the chance.

Celine Canvass Clutch

I remember exactly that I got this last August 2. That was the day of the boyf' flight and I went thrifting after sending him off, to get my minds off things. I didn't want to be sad, and this find perked me up a bit.

H&M Blazer

I have always professed my love for anything beige, brown or nude. This blazer is such a favorite up to now.

Tsumori Chisato Cover Up/Dress

I have always thrifted TC clothes but I always sell them because although beautiful pieces, they were always too eccentric for my style. So I was very happy to have found this silk panneled cover up/dress. "I'm keeping it!" was the first thought on my mine when I saw it, lols.

MANGO Lace Dress

I have been keeping this in my closet and waiting for the right time to wear it. It's pure love at first sight when I saw this, promise.

Knitted Starts and Stripes Sweater

Domething this comfy and nice should be worn and worn again and again. And that's what I'm doing now, haha.

Happy Wednesday everyone!

I spent my morning catching up on your blogposts guys. I've been working non-stop since Sunday (yes, I didn't get to enjoy the long weekend, sad) because of a "supposed to be" deadline yesterday, but the client extended it at the last minute. Huh. So anyway, I just want to share you guys photos of some of the bloggers that I follow, sporting colored pants. =D It's becoming such a trend, especially now that colorful summer is just around the bend, but all year round I'll never get tired of seeing them, trend or not haha. For myself, I think I don't have any bright colored pants at all, I have blacks, grays, nudes and camels. Although seeing these girls, I think I'm gonna buy me a pair soon!

I've always been the laid back type. Someone who knows me can definitely see that on my clothes. It's just now that I've been experimenting with my style, but at the end of the day, you can still see me going back to my most comfortable style. A loose,soft top + denim shorts + sneakers.

Got this top for P50. Love love the color and the fabric is so soft!
Been wearing it nonestop with my tattered denim shorts and slip ons.=D

I found this pair of strappy H&M sandals just when I was about to go out the store and still haven't found anything I like. My housemate who came with me, pointed it out. It's brand new (still has the tags on) and Size 38. Luckily though, it still fits me. IDK, my feet are weird. I'm sure my size is 39-40.
I wore it the first time here with the trouser pants that I got on sale from Mango last Christmas, and H&M tank top and a thrifted F21 cropped top.

The only time I went thrifting last Christmas break was on this old two-story shop on the next city to ours. Imagine an old building with wooden stairs and floors. The place was kinda dark, and over crowded clothes and bags are cramped inside the ground floor. I was just looking around, with nothing in particular in my mind, and I heard the man tending the shop telling me there are still shoes upstairs. I was a little scared to go up (maybe because I watch too many crime series?lols) but I was bored so I went upstairs. I actually saw a pristine pair of white Tods, but the fit was very snug and I thought that it might blister my feet. I've given up and was about to go down, when my line of sight saw a pair of clogs from the corner rack. Did I tell you that the place was dusty, dark and scary? lols. But then, when I pulled out the shoes, I saw this pair:

Very pristine condition. It's a size bigger than mine, but still manageable. The only flaw is that one of the rubber sole is gone. Oh well, a quck fix for that is by Mr. Quikie. ^^.

I asked manong how much is it and told me it's P300.00. I gave him that "strick-tacher/Miss Tapia/incredulous look" and he said P250.00. I remained silent...after a few seconds, he said "Sige Ma'am, 200 na lang". Teehee. I didn't have to say anything at all. haha.

When I caught a glimpse of the baroque prints of this top on the racks, my first thought was: " Am I about to score a Versace top?". Alas, it's not branded, but I loved and bought it still. Reminds me so much of the Versace vintage prints like this and this.

I'm thinking of selling, but I haven't made up my mind yet because I'm so drawn to it haha.

I'm not expecting gifts from anyone so I just bought some for myslef, hehe. BTW, the boyf's gift is a new set of bed and pillows that I SO LOVE!.

Super pretty/girly/dainty dress right? Reminds me of those old american movies, especially because of the sweetheart neckline and the bow/ribbon. ^^
I will be selling this on my January Collection so watch out ladies! I've finished organizing my closet and I've decided to sell some branded/designer thrift finds that I initially wanted to keep for myself but I didn't get to wear them at all, just forgot about them I guess =D. So watch out because most of them are really covetable pieces in low low prizes, as low as P200.00! Crazy right?

On another note, we will have our Xmas Party tomorrow=) Then 23-26 is vacation. Sadly we have work on 27-29. Yeah. =( Super bummer. Unlike the past 3 years, we dont have a long vacation now. Oh well. I guess that's okay. Compared to what others are experiencing now, I don't have the slightest right to whine.

I guess that's all for now luvs. I will prepare some scheduled posts for the holidays, since I'm not sure if there's internet at home =D.

Leather Thrifting Troubles

I thrifted this leather jacket almost a month ago. I didn't actually notice the stains at the back area and only saw it when I was about to have it dry cleaned. Aw. It stil has some of the stains and I'm planning to use my leather stain remover that I use for leather bags and shoes. I hope it helps, if not, oh well, I'd be wearing it with the stains on haha.

Fake or Not?

I actually saw another top, but I was kind of skeptical if this is authentic. Basing on the tags of past Margiela items that I got, the fabric tag should be thicker, I think? If this is not a fake, well, boohoo, because I let go of one great top haha. ^^

Fake or not, though, I still love this dress. The stripes and that worn-out/peeling effect on the print is a YES for me, and (I also) love the sheer raffles.

Got this together with the Mcqueen Top last Saturday and another set (a Marni Mod dress,CK shirtdress and Zara Blazer) from anothe store,which comprises probably the last thrifting scores for me this 2011, unless we could squeeze some thrifting escapade back in the province, which I doubt we'll get to do because of the busy week we've planned for the holidays.

The devastation of typhoon Sendong is so overwhelming. I can't find the words to describe and I wasn't able to mention it here in the blog,simply because I don't know how. I've been retweeting infos about how we can donate/help for the victims, go check it out plus other bloggers had been posting infos already. It's so sad that this had to happen on the Christmas season nonetheless, and I hope that our fellow there could still find hope and acceptance for this tragedy. I can't even begin to understand/comprehend the loss they are feeling right now, and my heart goes out to the children. Let's all include them in our prayers, and if we can, donate money, clothes, food, medicines, and even offer our services. Also, spread the word on how people can help.

I'm still thinking if I will sell this on January at the shop. It has that perfect BF Blazer fit. I just don't like the belt thingy attached to it. So if I will keep it, the ties will have to go.

There's something about black lace that I find so intriguing. I don't know, for me, it gives of that mysterious aura to the wearer. And this cropped top came with another favorite: polka dots!
I know right? So, anyway, I'm too old to wear cropped tops plus do not have the body to pull it off haha, I'm gonna be using this as a topper for my sleeveless dresses. ^^

Happy Monday luvs! I actually woke up and got to the office early today, lols. A month of relentless overtime has finally caught up with me last week and I was late for work for the whole week straight! Our HR called my boss, about my "tardiness". Lols. Good thing the boss is on my side on this one. He actually told the HR people that what I clock in for a whole month is actually equivalent of their two months worth of work haha. Gotta love my boss. Anyway, he's the one who orders our overtime work anyway, so...lols.
So, I'm posting these jumpers for today. It's the oldest post on my draft, and I actually included it in my Luxe Collection, and is still available on the shop. I've seen a lot of bloggers incorporate sporty clothes with their wardrobe, and I think this one will look fab as a jumper or a tunic,=)
The front has that waterproof -like fabric and the back is jersey/cotton.

Waste not, want not. =)I made these bows using fabric left-overs from my DIY shorts and some leatherette straps I removed from a pair of boots.

The metal rings are the ones I used back in my review days (for the board exam). It's big enough to hold all my index cards then. So glad to have to use them again now, this time as bangles. =)

Good thing about having big sized feet? I can wait it out with thrift shops when they have "selected items" that are JUST so overpriced. They initially tagged this for 1200.00. It's a canvass material, abaca wedges from Zara. Then it went down to 900, then 500, then 350. When I went back last week, it was sold to me for 240.00 Yey! =)

Wanderlust kicks in...

When I mentioned Baler in my last post, I got reminded of our past trips with friends. We're planning to go somewhere again this Christmas holidays. The less "commercialized" the place, the better. I'm not sure if I've posted about them already, but anyhow, since I'm on my nostalgia mode again, let me share these:

ANAWANGIN COVE, ZAMBALES

I think I'll do this on my trips from now on. Equivalent of Bianca's Tumbling shots hehe

Probably one of the most "un-touched" beaches I've seen.

the barkada on our boad ride to Anawangin (30 minutes). This was taken before the big waves hit so we were still smiling haha.

BALER

This was the second beach we went too (Day 2) and my favorite so far. It as so secluded, and perfect for snorkling.

We also tried some trekking on the nearby boulders. At our backs was the Pacific Ocean. ^^ We can't hear ourselves because the sound of the crashing waves were so loud and scary, lols.

BATAAN

Dawn of our Day 2 there. I woke up early because I had fever the night before and slept so early (6PM?)

Our friends' daughter, Shanice

We stayed at Coral Cove.

I'm hoping we can go to Bolinao (Pangasinan) this time. Or maybe take a part two in Baler. I really loved it there,=)

When I look at this dress, I see a ocean waves so high they were almost reaching the bright blue sky above them. It reminds me so much of our last year's trip to Baler.

It's been more than seven years since I had that Eureka! moment and realized that I am positively and irrevocably falling for the boy. Haha. Blazer Find + Luxe Collection

I saw this Mango blazer just as I was about to leave the store. What first caught my eye was the salmon-ish (?) color of the blazer. When I went to check it out, I saw that it was in the "Selected Items" Rack so I braced myself for the overpriced sum that the cashier will tell me. Well, hello, the racks were on 50% Sale. Yey. Got it for P225.00.

On another note, the Shop's Last Collection for the year will be relased on December 2. I calle dit LUXE Collection.

Whenever we have guests in the house, being the eldest,I'm the one to "entertain" especially when my mother is not home. BELIEVE ME when I say that I'm very akward with strangers. lols. But I try, =)

Get Gorgeous Lips with NIVEA Lip Care!

Last Friday, I received a wonderful bag of goodies from NIVEA. I'm an avid user of their products, specially the lip care line. I'm not much of a lipstick girl and if you'll look at my bag, I always carry a Nivea lip balm especially when I go on-site, where it's hot and dry, making my lips chafe.

When I do apply lipstick, I make sure to apply a lip balm first. I guess it makes it easier for me to control coverage.

I was so excited to see the new Lip care products! I already am using the Soft Rose one that I bought a while back and I can say that I love it. ^^

DIY - Lace Trimmed Shorts

Inspired by a DIY Post from A Pair and a Spare, I decided to do my own version of this:

So, while I was catching up on my The Mentalist Series, I whipped up this:

A pair of denim shorts I thrifted a while back and some knitted lace that I removed from a P35.00 Skirt that specifically bought for the lace alone=)

I sewed right inside the fold of the short so as to hide the thread line.

This is me getting excited once I saw one leg done:

And to make sure the tread line doesn't show, I fixed the fold by using textile glue so that it won't unravel.

And finally...voila!

The orange line you see peeking out are the threads i used, ^^, I run out of white and was to excited to finish it. lols. Will re-do them once I get white ones.

Wore this to a meeting with clients in New World. I wanted to look "business-like" hence the blazer. At the same time, I wanted to look my age so I opted to wear this trouser-cut jeans, and the lace print top. I was also lugging tons of documents so I wore the comfiest flats I have right now. A suede number form Otto (a local shoe brand, way way back when I was in highschool---this is the only decent shoe store in our humble town where we bought our shoes---leather + uber durable shoes, I might add) that I bought on-sale pa when I went home last month.

Super busy with work but very fulfilled, nearing the big 1-Billion mark of our projects for 2011. So proud to say that I'm part of the team to accomplish that. ^^

Yes, I'm back to collecting blacks, whites and camel tones. I don't know why, because I should be hoarding colorful ones now since Xmas is just around the corner. Maybe I'm just sad? lols. So I'm now psychanalyzing myself thru my purchases haha.

Got this top from my fave shop in Pasong Tirad. Although I've noticed thatI haven't gotten anything fantastic from that shop these past months.

My favorite right now are the Lucky Stars in PRC and Makati Ave, because I just love their SALE racks haha. ^^ They have quite a lot of stocks and they have fast circulation, meaning faster New arrivals, Sales, and such. Unlike some stores that it takes almost a month to change stocks.

DIY Feature : Artsy Wedges

I was not in the mood to do work today, and you might say, OMG, it' s only MONDAY and I'm loke this already, lols.

So I was bumming around, and my bestfriend Mr. Google gave me so many fun links when I typed Craft-DIY-Makeover.

Four hours later, I came upon this simple and yet uber great idea from WWW. CRAFSTER.ORG.

Someone ( a very creative and talented lady, I'm sure) posted about buying a pair of wedges from Aldo that had different strap and platform colors. She thought it didn't match so she drew lace details on them. She is freakin awesome. ^^

Stripes Make My World Go Round

This is the skirt I was talking about, =) Don't you just love it? What I love about this skirt is it's not biloowy like my other maxis. A different take, and I still love it!
I got from one of the shops in Guadalupe, the SHOP H in my map, which I didn't like before but now I'm starting to, hehe.

I also got 3 more items from another shop (I'll blog about it later) for P35 each! ^^. I got them mostly for DIY/Crafting purposes. This is another reason I love thrift shopping, they're agood source of DIY materials!

Nothing fantastic in particular white this shirt/tunic/dress that I got last Saturday, and that's the beauty of it! ^^ It's so plain that it stood out amongst the sea of prints and colors at the rack I was perusing. Plus the fact that it's JUST PERFECT for the striped maxi skirt (which I'll blog about, next) I picked seconds before I saw this white fairy.

Lost at Sea

A dress find last weekend. ^^, I saw this on the rack and what made me pick it is the color. It stood out amongst the sea of brown and black, and when I closely examined it, I was delighted to see the shells, ^^ yey. Another bonus is the mod-like style of the mini-dress. I checked out Lilly Pulitzer's Website and boy, did I love every dresses they have there, ^^ which retails around $180-$300. Do check the story behind their brand too (CLICK HERE), very interesting! Would you believe, it all started with a juice stand? The designer, Lilly made an apron made of colorful fabric to protect her dress, and later on, the then US First Lady Jackie Kennedy was spotted wearing one (made from kitchen curtain material) and people went crazy over her dresses. ^^

SO, want to hear some good news? Teehee. FAIRYTALE COLLECTION will be released this FRIDAY, 9PM at the SHOP and this dress is included, yey! ^^
